is any1 growing texas cichlid ?

My mom has one in with African cichlids and he does just fine in there at 7" he's also her favorite fish.

blub blub- it looks cyano to me but its hard to say. in my neck of the woods you can go to lfs and look at two tanks side by side both labeled texas cichlids and there are carpintis in one and what looks to be cyano in the other. there are also alot of "mutts" out there because of this practice. what did you buy it as?
