Is anyone getting ready for this storm??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was saying that us non US members get pissed off having to read crap about your country all the time. would this same thread get 3 pages if it was about a storm heading for asia or australia? nope. with all of the topics on the general that need responces this deserves none. something like this should be in the lounge.

I posted a thread a few days ago about moving a tank, it was important and I needed some advice to make sure I was planning to move it right. I got no responce and moved it anyway. thanks a lot MFK for caring more about American Meteorology than MONSTER FISH KEEPING

Here is a thought, don't click the thread at all. Also, if it doesn't pertain to you then by all means don't actually post in it.

Being that I'm in the panhandle of fl I've been in this situation several times over the years. This is why you keep a generator around if you live here. Of course not just for tanks either, but to power other things. After hurricane ivan we were without power for 2-3 months.

I have 5 battery air pumps ready to go. Massive wc scheduled for Sunday along with no feedings after Sunday morning. I'm not too worried but gotta prepare just incase cuz I spent hundreds on my current stock.

As for the bashing american threads. Seriously grow up! If ya hate us then stay outta our threads. Glad to hear u were able to move your tank even tho no one responded to ur thread. If no one responds to ur threads then be smart and use the search option on the forum and stop being an offensive to american members.

Paulbearer I clicked on the thread because the title doesnt say where the storm is, so everything you just said has no effect.

Oscaroo I don't really care what you think of me, I gave my opinion and you are giving yours fair enough. you know what Forget it. I've used this forum less over the last few months and this is exactly why. its a shame how some people ruin the entire community for others

Horray for living in Canada lol

It may be due to the fact that You posted a question about a marine tank in the wrong section. Freshwater tanks we just break 'em down and move them. There's a little more to caring for/ moving salt water. You may have gotten a better response had You posted in the Salt forum. Sorry You have to waste You clicks on threads that are of no interest to You.

Really?...you sound like a spoiled brat crying that he doesn't get enough attention with the first few lines of your post...It seems that you have not been a member for very long but the past storms and hurricanes were extensively discussed on MFK,and guess what?..they occurred in other countries.I don't recall any American members spouting that they were tired of seeing mentions of those past storms.Do a search here on the natural disaster that Just about leveled Japan a few short years ago...

If you don't like the thread get out and shut up.

I'm sorta regretting not getting a generator. This just doesn't happen here often though. Mostly worried about keeping tank temps up and food frozen. Really hope we don't lose power but it seems inevitable.

The storm is causing 50-60mph winds in Indiana. The cranes I'm working on are 100' tall at the catwalk andc we aren't allowed on them when winre exceed 35mph so im throwing some back hoping for a short day tomorrow.
