Is aquarium salt ok?

I, personally, keep salt in all my tanks, all the time. 1 tblspn every 5 gals. And I do have bichirs

SO which is it 1 tblspn for each 5 gal or 1 for each 10 gal, I ususally do 1 tblspn for each 5 gal on every water change.

doesnt salt promote osmoregularity, and help with slime coat? well thats what it says on the box anyways. i just throw in 1 hand ful into my 100g everytime i do a 30g water change.

i add salt every now and then like when i add new fish or there stressed out, or if i treat my fish with goldfish(bc there dirty little things)
