I have many electric yellows with barring is this normal? here is a pic of a 7 month old male with some barring I think he looks good but some say their body should be solid yellow... anyone know?

but he's not stressed he's the king in the tank he is still a juvie though so mabye thats part of it... It may dissapear as he gets older but I am wondering if it is just a natural thing on electric yellow like if the wild ones would have barring...GinBlack;3470719; said:

I would like to see photos, it's hard because the yellow coloration on labs is actually rare in the wild and I have read that many of the variants from Lion's Cove have barring and yellow bellies which I also have many of that variant, so i think it is just that people desire the all yellow look and there are many line bred and hybrid to look that way, from what I have read...
I once had a electric yellow x red zebra breed. They were pure yellow with the black stripe on top fin.. Beautiful. Some of them were also orange with the black stripe on the top fin.

right thats what I've heard and people tend to think it's the barring and bearding thats unatural but the opposite can be more true... Thats what I am trying to confirm but I thinkit would be nearly impossible to find someone with a wild caught specimen. also even in the wild there are different morphs of electric yellow labs and they are very rare to find in the wild...
