I admit I've only seen him in two (ufc/mma) fights but both times he lost in the first round and there were done very easily. So, is he all hype or what?

In Wrestling they make him out to be this super bad to the bone guy that destroys everything he touches.

Wrestling... they dont actually destroy anything. Ist all show boating and acring

Mma does real damage to the fighter ..

Crazy punching power, strong as an ox....$2 chin. Hit him once and he turtles up instantly.

After he won the title and then beat Carwin I had this feeling in the pit of my stomach that no one would ever beat him. I hated the fact that he was like 2-1 and got a title shot. But Dana white is a genius...

His first go round with WWE was insane and perfect marketing to launch that MMA career.

Now he looks slow and weak and overhyped in WWE

Ive seen him in person and he is absolutely huge! His arms are wider than my stomach! He is like a living tank! I dont really like him but I do have to say that I have seen a couple of his mma matches and he seems like a very offensive person but not very defensive. He can definetly fight though. Btw I saw him a couple years back at a car show in nyc. When I was younger and he is atleast 2x bigger than my stepdad who happens to be 6'1 and around 300 pounds. But im also almost as big as my stepdad now, hes not huge but hes a big guy.

He had a battle twice with an intestinal problem, diverticulitis, which hindered his mma training quite a bit.He probably could have been a mainstay in the ufc if it wasn't for that. His career was short lived but pretty successful.

Here's my take on brock

the guy has my respect. he had a very short amount of time training and jumps in with the lions. I think him capturing the title was a bit lucky due to the circumstances. he was 2-1 and got a title shot against randy couture whom was well passed his prime and a very beatable opponent that matched up very well to lesnar's strengths

he recognized that he had the star power to make a lot of money and he wanted to make lots of it in as short amount of time as possible. dana also recognized this because not only did lesnar have a large pro wrestling fan base that would follow him to mma, he also was a freak of nature that just captured the mma world's curiosity if anything. I believe to this day, lesnar's main event at ufc 100 is the single largest ppv buy the ufc has ever had.

I think that lesnar knew he wasn't in this mma thing for the long haul. he wanted in, get rich and retire from it as soon as he couldn't be on top. unlike true mma guys who lose, they strive to change and learn and improve themselves. I think that had he started mma like after college and got right into it he'd be a completely different beast. but his inexperience, lack of drive to stay in mma along with his diverticulitis issue, he couldn't hang with the top dogs for long. he was able to beat guys that matched up very well to his strengths but with guys that are at the top right now like cain, overeem and junior he won't be king of the mountain.

I mean, a veteran striker like overeem just toyed with him and just had zero respect for any striking brock had to offer. he just walked right up to brock with his arms out and grabbed him and threw knees. that's literally how i'd fight a midget. walk up to them with my arms out like a zombie, grab their head and cave in their chest and gut with knees

at the end of the day, brock's main purpose was to make money and not to become the best mma fighter he can be. that's the bottom line really. but you gotta respect the guy for what he did and who he fought in a short amount of time
