ive read on many place here that captive bred arowana come with alot of defects and etc., but are they really all that bad as they are made out to be?

i think not....i think if you have a healthy male and a healthy female then it ='s healthy fry.

can you tell sex when they are young or is it just that only the fish knows? i mean i see alot of things with like defects and stuff but isnt the vast majority of silvers captive bred?

is there a certain mix you would want? like 1 male and 2 females? cuz im gonna have three in a tank. or does it not matter?

Captive bred is better, it saves the fish in the wild.

Go for captive breed. Doesn't take them from the wild, and there really aren't that many defected aros, i've only seen one or two out of 50 or 100...

There are ways to tell if arowana male or female one way to see is their overbite some say if it has a bigger overbite then its a male and shorter then its a male. Thats what i heard but not sure.

but do you know if the mix of sexes in a tank with three is crucial to avoid aggression or not? or is three just fine any sex they are?

Female...sry for the typo...

I say usually it would be nice to have two females and a male cuz males then to have more aggression than female fishes.
