Is feeding freeze-dried Krill bad??

I feed krill to my flowerhorn and silver dollars once a week. I do agree that sometimes some pieces are relatively sharp. What would completely avoid any fatality is soaking the freeze-dried krill in tank water until it's soft, which is about 30 seconds actually. I use one of those small betta bowls that Petco keeps their bettas on display with to soak the freeze-dried krill. It's also very fatty which is why it's often suggested to be fed in moderation. Other than those two attributes, freeze-dried krill is a protein packed treat.

I agree. I just use a disposable plastic cup to soak mine. The only thing I don't like about FD krill is that I have to individually squeeze the air out of each one to get them to sink. For this reason, I usually use frozen krill instead, but right now my lfs doesn't have any :(.

i think more problems originate from frozen krill, not freeze/dried? i don't really ever feed freeze dried food myself., i just buy krill directly from the market if i do...
