Alright ( I know it might be a mistake but)
After plenty of research, I was able to get a deal for 50% off on the dorado. He will arrive tomorrow at 2 inches, and will go into my tank with 1x Indo pacific tarpon 2.5 in, one giant bumblebee catfish 3.5in, a 2 in clown pleco, and one small ~2.5 in peacock bass. I have extra tank space in other tanks, so do yall think I should take any of these guys out? I will probably take the bumblebee out because I have a feeling that he will pester the dorado for territory, but other than that, once the dorado starts eating, he will be transferred into a 8x4 pond all to himself or possibly with a few non aggressive tank mates.
So anyway, does anyone have any info they can share on how easy they are to feed? Also, besides the nose issue ( I’ve glued the walls of the tank besides the front with padding to save his nose) and then being very skittish, are they decently hardy? Should I leave the tank open or put many hiding spots? I took out anything sharp and padded driftwood with flame moss, any other recommendations?
