Is Golden Nugget Pleco a problem

I find it interesting that everyone says the pleco will eat the eggs. I have two plecos(different kind) but they don't touch the eggs. Not even at lights out. I think you could have kept it, but it will lessen the bio load and that's not a bad thing.

Nothing yet from this pair. There is a lot of lip locking going on everyday. Still don't know if they're a male and female. Just wondering would 2 females lip lock?

I would think it's possible. Two males will to establish dominance so I'd think two females likely would if they don't get along.

Other then lip locking have you seen one clearing a spot for eggs?

They both have moved gravel in one spot all the way to the glass bottom of the tank. I also have a piece of slate in the tank too. But they're not cleaning that.
