Basically that one hole (center forehead above the eyes) has remained after all this time pretty much unchanged till yesterday. I notice its not greyish / white color and filled in, its even starting to push out like a small bump 1mm height. Im pretty sure in about 24-48 hours its going to burst open with a larger hole than before (this is what happens with hith).

As you can see from my previous posts I have medicated this fish for a while with metro and I cannot see anything in its poops (under a microscope) that looks like any parasite. But yet he still has some clear cpoops on occasion, mild flashing randomly, but no other symptoms of anything. He is growing and eating well.

Im going to wait and see what this bump is going to do before thinking about medicating again. But im unclear after all my treatment how hith could of been present this whole time and never advanced but now randomly looks to be taking a hold again.

Im beyond frustrated with this and have no idea how to proceed, im at the point where I want to sell my fish and bleach the whole system and start from scratch.

how is what I see on his head now. If you look in my other threads I posted you can see the hole that was there previously. Its worth noting that I cannot find other green terror pictures online with any of then having a normal sensory pit in that location.

Have you ever used a product called clear by czaqua? It's made for flowerhorns but works on all fish. I use it on any fish I have with white poo. Clears it out in days. I think every riv I've ever owned had white poop at one point or another. They are very prone to getting it

Right now it's just a bump. We don't know what will happen. That's not how HITH starts in oscars, at least. With Oscars, the sensory pits are comparably very small. They merge into one larger pit and can grow larger from there. This is what I consider HITH. I'm not 100% sure that this type (with oscars) is always spiro related, but there is HITH (in oscars and other fish) which is definitely spiro/intestinal parasite related. There is also bacterial pitting but I don't believe the spiro/internal parasite and the bacterial pitting are mutually exclusive.

Have you heard somewhere that this is how HITH begins ... with a bump? Because I've never heard that. In my experience, HITH begins by (1) merging and/or expansion (outward, not upward followed by eruption) of the sensory pits or (2) circular pits forming almost entirely around the gill plates indicating aerobic bacterial HITH or (3) red sores forming on the fish's head and body. These sores are protruding and are definitely bacterial. I wouldn't call this last one HITH but many do.

well this is what I thought was hith, but honestly i don't know.

In the past i kept golden rams and had a male who developed the same exactly thing. it burst open and he died from infection shortly after. I thought back then it was hith but maybe its something else.

I keep seeing this clear poop from my GT and recently I been checking it under a xcope every few weeks and can't see anything at all moving or anytrhing that resembles eggs.

Why would he always he this clear poop issue but no visible parasite in the gut linings.

Mucous? I'm not sure. If no parasites then ... well, what causes the loss of color - the white or clear stringy poop to begin with (with parasites)? Is it the parasites being expelled that you're seeing or do the parasites render the waste void of color for some reason? Does the fish produce more mucous when parasites are in the gut? I'm just thinking ... what are we looking at when we look at clear or white stringy waste.

For the parasite to spread, they must be expelled from the body. Eggs or live critters should be visible.

That's absolutely right. I remember reading in an article on spironucleus regarding it's treating with metro (I believe) that sometimes opportunistic bacterial infections inhabit the areas of the gut where the spriro or hex had been. I wonder if this could be the case. An internal bacterial infection might produce white or clear waste not visible under a scope.

Personally I would treat for a bacterial infection, with Kanamycin. Seachem Kanaplex has served me well over the years, works best in higher pH water. At this point it's worth a shot. I don't currently see this as a case of HITH.
Good luck.
