Do I need to feed kanaplex or is dosing the water good enough? Can I dose kanaplex with Metroplex? Or other treatments?

Kanaplex, dosed in the water column per instructions, won't kill your beneficial bacteria (an established system) to any significant extent.
Good luck. I agree this doesn't necessarily look like HITH to me.
Worth mentioning as well that I have had a few fish over the years that had HITH scars from previous owners when I got them. They never really went away, but stopped spreading once in better situations with less stress and cleaner water. Completely up to you, but I personally wouldn't give the fish away if you like him, cause of a little HITH. My big johanna had HITH scars and people still said it was the most impressive johanna they had every seen. And your GT is quite nice.

Since I got Kai at just around 1.5" mark he has been a great fish with all the personality I could ask for. He has got some amazing colors and has been growing quite well dispite all the medical issues.
I feel like we been fighting off something the entire time. Because I'm emotionally invested in my pet fish it's hard to think he is always struggling with health issues. I've been attempting to do everything in my power, whatever the cost, to help him.
I want nothing more than to see him reach a ripe old age and life a happy life during that time.
This morning the pimple like bump is clearly leaking out some white stuff. This is exactly the same thing that happened to a golden Ram I had which died days after the wound ruptured open.
I will definitely keep mfk posted and if anyone has further suggestion I would love to hear them. I'm not giving up just yet, hopefully Kai isn't going to either.

You've probably heard numerous different opinions, here's mine for the record.
You seem to have already treated for hex....One thing I wanted to mention in regards to some of your old threads. Hex can be triggered by a period of non-eating. The fish of course has to have hex in the gut in the first place, but that's one way to trigger the visible symptoms, another way is bad water quality. Often fish that were in transit and not fed, or fish in bad water quality show the fist signs of hex. The fish otherwise can deal with the parasite if all is fine, but it spreads it to others....So having a clear poop after a period of non-eating, can be a sign the fish has hex....
External open sores are normally caused by gram positive bacteria or worms/parasites. Your fish has some sort of a bump rather than an open sore. Regardless, Seachem Kanaplex is a hit and miss in terms of diagnosis as as it mostly effective against internal gram negative infections. .I hope it helps though as there's still a chance it could be effective.
The bump could be tissue forming around a worm or different type of parasite than hex. Has this fish ever been de-wormed for round worms and tape worms....which by the way are the most common issues with fish, and everything else is secondary with some exceptions...

Just to be clear, wasn't questioning your devotion to the fish. Sounds like you are going above and beyond. I hope the best for you both! Just giving a little perspective, life after HITH is possible!
Another thought.... hope this isn't the case. But when I see white bumps, I generally think lymphocystis, not hex. Hard to say if that bump looks like it, as it is quite small. But if it develops further, I would compare it to pics of this virus and see what you think.
