Is heating needed?

no u dont 100% dont need heater. i am from singapore lived there 13 years of my life. It never ever goes below any temperature fish cant tolerate. It sometimes get too hot in fact. If its too cold then no fish can survive because singapore is on the equator and thats is the most tropical place.

trust me in singapore you dont need a heater. 95% of people living in singapore have houses that are made of concrete. n they r great at insulating. temperature never drops fast

Having lived in Singapore and other parts of SE asia for a few years and kept fish like arowanas, it's one of the few places in the world I can honestly say you don't need a heater. In fact during may / june I have had to have the fans running over a few smaller tanks.
