is i safe to put a fishtank in your bed room?

LOL I'd watch out on the meds and pH tabs. Most likely, they are not necessary.

If you'd like to learn about how to raise KH and pH, thereby keeping pH steady and elevated, read here: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/FWsubwebindex/fwh2oquality.htm

If you need to lower pH, then you'll need to make the water more acidic by adding bogwood or almond leaves.

What this does is alter the water chemistry in such a way that pH stays put, rather than constantly fluctuating, because you're altering KH and not just pH.

Depending on what you keep, your fish may be fine adjusting to the pH that you have.

Most of the problems people dump Pimafix and Melafix in for are due to poor water quality. Test your water weekly and insure that ammonia and nitrite are zero, and nitrates below 20. This will fix many common fish "illnesses" that pop up.

Sorry for what may seem to be too much information, but I'm trying to save you some money, and your fish a lot of trouble.

And, to answer your original question, if I'm still alive with a 1,000 plus gallon pond in my bedroom, I think you'll be okay. :D

it's like dividing by zero, it will create the end of the world or a black hole or something really really bad.

And how does one forget how many fish tanks are in a room? I wonder if that "possible" 3rd tank gets fed or water changed. Oh wait, it's not there, only two. WAIT! it just reappeared! Damn sneaky aquariums.

The Mayans really influence your outlook in life, Austin.;)

No, keeping tanks in your bedroom will not kill you, not unless you have noisy filters and other equipments to begin with anyway that you can't sleep very well over them. If you are dealing with chemicals that are already identified carcinogenic, handle them carefully and keep quarantine tanks in another room instead that you don't frequent a lot. A well ventilated area (not your bedroom) is ideal as well.

haha! all this 2012 business is just getting annoying personally. if it's done it's done, not much we can do.

I have a 125 gal in my room. I had fish tanks in my room since I was about seven Im still good. Also if they would be bad why would they be selling them for fish tanks even if you didnt hav it in your room the vapors will still be in your house.

Hmmm.... have had over 10 tanks in my room at one time. Now I know what's wrong with me.

I thought I was going to die when my wife made me remove my last tank from the bedroom. My ears rang for over a month

lol its not really a tank cuz there is a frog in the third.
