is it a frontosa

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i know my red front actualy looks kinda nice it is almost a rusted sunset color where the white would be and the stripes are like the color of pennies almost meaner looking then the originals but it is very shy, is that because he is alone will he be more up confident with other ones

also i was wondering with your guyses experience with lfs are you able to bargain at all like if they where 20$ each would i be able to say, hey if i take all six will you charge me 15 for each? or are fish stores like normal chain shops prices are firm

Don't know about your lfs. But the one I deal with would barter. In all honesty the lfs probably only paid $5-10 each for them. Even if you ask for $15 they're still making money. Wouldn't hurt to try!

The cost on frontosas are not bad considering the cost that predatorial fishes go for. However, it's the tank size you should consider as they do get big and having a few of them will require a big tank 80 gal plus is minimum I'd say for 4. As for bargaining I say go for it as it wouldn't hurt to ask. If it's a typical lfs I say you have a good chance of getting a deal. Not like your friendly chain petshops.

oh ill tell you my idea with this ok..... frontosa are slow growers start them out the 5 in the 30gal they are only a inch or 2 long so if you want to do the inch rule i am very below it at the moment when ever they meet bout 4 to 5 inches upgrade againand keep that going, at the same time growing this fishtank and prolly taking down some also to make room
