is it a midas/rd or just a RD

ok well i took a chance, got a fish from pet smart .. just want to see if its actually what they advertised. he is about 3 3/4 to 4". sorry for the crappy pics

Looks just like the one I just got from Petsmart. Most say a RD/Midas mix. Still a very cool fish.

could be another hybrid, but i think it has alot of midas, if not all midas in it.

i thought that's what you meant i just had to make sure, ethier way i think it still looks all midas, but that's my opinion. i also wouldn't put to much trust into what petsmart employes tell you on fish.

from what ive studied about RD and midas, the RD tends to have a more pointed mouth if your looking at the fish from a top point of view and the midas has a more broad mouth. i know theres alot of other factors but that is one that kinda helps
