Nice big Midevil. Love the coloration. Would personally skip the tank repair option and get a 75g from petco, with their every other month sale it's only 100$. Can't imagine keeping a fish that big in a tank under 50 gallons tbh
 
I currently have a 75g in storage from when I had rbp. But in all honesty I don't have room for that large of tank anymore. I had thought about offering the fish up but at 14 years old he's on borrowed time at this point.

I say keep him until he dies of old age or if you absolutely need him gone you can put a bit of I think it’s clove oil and it’ll humanly put him down. I think you should keep this old man alive as long as possible or until he’s in his final days then put him down.
 
I planned to keep him but I just can't set up the 75g. I have Zero room for something like that again. His hexagon tank the stand broke and it was leaking in the house and needs resealed. So this was the last option.
