Is it better to buy a bigger ornate than a smaller one?

in my opinion, it's more cool to get a small juvi/baby bichir. It nice to see one grow from a puny fish to a monster of 2 feet. anyways, you'll have more time to enjoy ur bichir. Babies will be more attached to you once you take care of them until they reach adult. i know a bunch of guys that are against me in this though! LOL.

i agree i love taking care of baby fish until there monsters <3

anything in my main tank that is 3inch or less is a potential meal, but i keep grow-out tank for juveniles, both are enjoyable.

But preferable i would pick sizes that are at-least 10 inch so i can already show them off on my main tank and be proud of them, i only get juveniles if i cant afford the bigger ones or the big one are hard to come by, so i need to grow them out my self.
