Is it crazy to squeeze feces out of worms?

Usually 4-6 nightcrawlers, tried prawn and shrimp among assorted fish and came up empty. He just loves worms, and ghost shrimp of course. I considered gutloading them but until i do i dont feed them very often.

not only is it not crazy. it's absolutely necessary to "wring" out all the dirt in their gut before using them as food. imho.
 
I culture red wiggler worms. It's super easy and you can control what the worms eat (veggies from our household, exclusively).

The easiest way to catch the worms is to grab a piece of fruit or vegetable and pull the worms off of it. They're filled with whatever they were eating (in some level of digestion)...

I rinse them off and drop them in...no squeezing....

As others have said, they're terrestrial so no risk of aquatic pathogens.

Well you have to understand that farmed worms are quite different than their wild counterparts. Farmed worms are fed stuff that you don't want your fish eating. I lost a VERY expensive fish feeding it worms bought at a bait shop. Sure he ate them for years and then one day he died from eating a bad worm. He was perfectly healthy before he ate it so I'm assuming it was the worm that did him in.
 
i brought a fridge today and its now in my kitchen.
i found a guy online that sell 200 canadian night crawlers pretty cheap. i plan on breeding them as well.
i have heard that the egg laying mash for chickens works great on night crawlers. i plan on getting sterile soil to use as replacement dirt. i plan on feeding them oatmeal household veggies but only a little and i plan on crushing up some Bio Gold and sprinkle it over the top of the dirt so the worms will ingest it and then feed it to the rays and the rays should absorb it all.
i also plan on feeding it to the cloning crayfish i will be breeding. i will be feeding the crayfish red algae as well because it will turn the cray fish red..and with the rays eating the red crayfish i am hoping my light colored pearl rays will turn a reddish color.just like flemingos do.
so..if you do it the right way then no..you shouldnt clean out the worms.
