The high end thai FH are definitely gorgeous fish but i will say yes it is indeed crazy the prices that they command. But if the breeders can get away with it more power to them!
That's a good price for that level quality, here it would be a bit more about US$25.
Let's not forget though that the average cost of living and monthly disposable income are about 3 times less here in Thailand and about 4 times less in India compared to US so that should be factored into the equation -- though agreed with regards to aquarium fish there's even more of a disparity, I'm kinda shocked when I see prices for many fish in the US. Given it's not easy to produce top grade FH's, esp. Kamfa mixes, I guess it's not surprising the prices get jacked up even more.

Thai breeders are way ahead of us in the game. I've seen some awesome USA bred stuff but nothing that compares to the other side of the pond as far as kamfa go. Probably a rumor, and likely is, but it still wouldn't surprise me, we haven't even seen the best of their best. We get yesterday's model made available to us. I know over the last year I see them getting more and more of a wow factor as time goes on.

This was when he was 3-4 inches long. Now he is closer to 9-10 inch markPretty fish. The price was when he was this size or baby?
