I am setting up a 180gal tank to house an aro, oscar and a bichir, I was wondering if an ehiem 2217 and 2215 would be enough filtration to keep everybody happy?

i think it will be fine ...for what u want to load....eco systems have no flo aND THATS
HEALTHY

Thanks guys

I think I will get another 2217 then I 'll have the three filters. On a side note I was contemplating getting a fluval fx5 but.... its a fluval :(

LOL.

i have 4 filters running on my 180 2 300gph externals and 2 400 gph internals for polishing the water.
i think your 3 filter should be fine.

check out a 2250. I use two 2217s and a 2128 on a 90gal mbuna tank. It is slightly overkill but it allows me to clean the filters on a rotation basis and never really take a nitrite/nitrate spike.
