Is it healthy for my gars?

try some guppies. you will have to feed more compared to the large feeders, but that would be another option if you are concerned...

or u could use rosy reds. my little guys have tackled some big feeders.
hao, dont start that again. Some of us want to feed feeders. the key is to give a large variety of feeders, and to QT and raise ur feeders for awhile before giving them.
but goldfish arnt the best feeders to use. running a couple tanks and raiseing rosy reds is the way to go!!
for reference i feed mine
guppies
ghost shrimp
rosy reds
wild caught minnows(QT them for a long time and know what ur catching)
goldfish(not the best)
tadpoles
frogs(QT these both for a long time as well)
any other small fish i can get

rosy red minnows. they sell them at petsmart or petco(if ur in la) but i dont know if u can get them in philippines. which are u in?

12 cents apiece at those stores. u can find non chain stores that may sell them cheaper

My gar eats mysis shrimp and bloodworms. When I first had stingray pups in his tank he was chowing down on blackworms. I am trying to stay away from feeders for fear of possible diseases.
