LOL, sucks ehhh? I catch snakeheads and I did catch one walking cat. BUT THE ARE ILLEGAL!!!!!!!! YOU BETTER NOT THROW THEM BACK!!!!, BUT YOU BETTER NOT KEEP THEM!!!!! I wouldn't even mess with the freezer man. If you get caught on your way home you are NAILED!!!!!!

OK, so I am a little upset with the system and how it works. Sorry for my smart response. Take them home to your freezer? You guys shouldn't tell him that. They should be killed on the spot if I am not mistaken. I am sure the FWC has heard "I am taking them home to my freezer" quite a few times. If you want to take the risk to take them home and properly kill them than thats up to you. IMO thats no different than taking them home and keeping them in a tank. If you are nervous about it just call FWC and ask them whats up or tell them what you plan on doing.

Per the opening post, he already had the 3 he caught home.

Why not just throw them back? I know they're not native to FL at all, but they have scooted into the state and it wasn't even their fault that they're here, they were brought in during I believe the 60's by Aquarium hobbyists.

It's just a small animal, just let it go.

In FL, it's just as illegal to release a caught invasive species as it is to maintain it alive. The law states to destroy upon capture.
