Oh no, he did not just say "hey so long sucker, see ya, bon voyage, arrivederci, later loser, goodbye, good riddance, peace out, let the doorknob hit ya where the good Lord split ya, don't come back around here no more, hasta la vista, kick rocks, and get the hell out."

Oh yes he did.

This is clearly the type of talk the OP is referring to, I feel that often we don't know how to communicate without being aggressive, or condescending. There are ways to say that you feel like the OP comments seem overly sensitive, without being offensive, and in honestly he asked us if we felt the same way, the thread should have been about how we feel about the point he was making, and not bout how we feel about what he said.

If he's so unhappy after only 225 posts, maybe he is being too sensitive. I've been here for years and I'm not fed up yet. Honestly now, if someone is that sensitive, a public forum might not be the place to spend their time. Or maybe search for a forum to discuss one's feelings and emotions? Not sure, but anyway I didn't say it, Skidmark did. I simply thought it was humorous.

Sad part is he asked if there was anybody who felt the same and all he did was get flamed for being too sensitive. I guess I know what he is talking about.

I am sorry you are correct I qouted the wrong person, I was not trying to say that anyone was being uncalled for, just pointing out that I can understand what the OP is saying and that comment was a good example. The comment itself was not super rude, but could have went unsaid.

I have mad uncalled for comments myself I am sure I am not one to say anyone is rude. I just understand what OP said, but like everyone else feel that this type of thing is part of being alive. Everywhere I go be it home work or school there is this same bickering and such, because we are human. Most of use learn to filter it out, some people get emotionally devastated by it. As mentioned I have been subject to alot of bad words and such, and it affected me greatly, but the best thing I have ever learned in life is others words mean nothing.

I feel the same way dude. I still log on once a day though to see if there is anything worth reading or some good stuff for sale, but the last couple years it seems like a lot of negative vibe and b.s. spam posts that have nothing to do with fishkeeping at all. Haven't you noticed even some of the big ballers have disappeared from the site hell even our own administrators rarely post anymore. If you want to take a break then go ahead you know who to call or text if you want to talk fish without being flamed;)

No problem, it's ok...and I apologize for going a little overboard. As far as the meaningless drivel that goes on around here, I've accepted that it's part of MFK. I must be one of those who filter it out. Since we know it won't ever go away completely, maybe people could keep that kind of stuff in the lounge and less in the other forums. That would make things a lot better.

reads thread. dislikes thread. i think i make better threads. walks away.

its that easy.

i think everyday is different... you never know what to expect.. i know one thing for sure... if you leave your going to miss alot of good stuff....

Too true. A lot of these young twerps make me jealous, being married with children I don't have the kind of disposable income they do. I still like seeing their tanks and fish.

I hope thats not at me, this is the lounge, and where my threads can somewhat be a bit spammy id like to think i've been fairly helpful when there is a serious thread asking for help.
