I think they use the barbels on there face, and I think they process smell/taste slow or something because mine will often go face to face with a pellet, seems like it doesnt realize its food, pass by, then do a quick 360 and grab it.

I do understand that they have poor vision, but when i put live feeders into my tank my one endi poly chase it feeders around like he can see them very well, maybe he has good eye sight compared to the others, the other wait for the fish to get close and then attacks it.

Mine also are very spoiled they are very picky when it comes to new fish chunks and pellets, its takes them a few days to come arond and eat the new chunks.

yeah i put the pellets in and they start to come out but some times they don't see the pellets...
