Is it legal to use barbed wire on residential property?

I feel same way, we had someone loosening lug nuts on my wife's truck, I told the cops plain out if I catch them I will beat them to death and it won't be a fast death I will drag it out for a few days. In Vermont you have to prove within a shadow of a doubt that they were going to do bodily harm, they would end up with one of my knives in their hand before cops arrive
If I caught someone doing that they would be a dead man. No ifs ands or buts about it.

I would plaint rose bushes down that side of the fence. Lots of thorns and pickers to deal with. They will look for a new route
And then once they find that new route, plant a worse plant. Poison ivy should stop them pretty quick

Oh ya rose bushes haha I like that or locust bushes, the thorns on them are lethal, I don't think poison ivy would do much, unless they are allergic to it, I walk through a ton of it each summer going fishing and it's never bothered me, lmfao although their mom might get a pleasant surprise when she does their laundry and gets it all over her

Could always put mud down by the edge of the fence. Cover it up with leaves, or mowed grass but make that stuff sloppy and thick. I can't think of how that would possibly be illegal.

I really like the planting of thorny type bushes bordering the fence.
Tons of great and interesting posts submitted. The thing with the thorny shrubbery is that it would take too long for the stuff to grow to a decent enough size in order for them to serve their intended purpose.

That is a good point lol. You could plant some flowers along bottom of fence and when they climb down they would smash them, report of as vandalism?

Nice idea. Trespassing AND vandalism charges, I like it!

I love how the OP is pretty much long gone but we're still giving solutions :D
