I've started using Hikari sinking pellets. I like the product, except for one issue -- The smell. After feeding, within 30 minutes, I notice a very strong odor that overwhelms my house. It usually last a few hours then goes away. Is this normal for Hikari products?
Is it me or . . .?

Hikari pellets are top of the line staple feed for tropical fish.....I have been using Hikari since the late 80's........No problems have been cast upon me from the usage of this wonderful food....LOL........Perhaps you are using too much food???????????My fish finish the food within 10-15 minutes...........

and to the OP, i have never experienced a foul smell with feeding any kind of hikari food...

Haha nah, I just smelled my bag of hikari gold. Smells kosher.
My fish area always has a little funky smell. I think from spilling water or the humidity. I highly doubt the hikari is causing the smell, so yah i think its you.

I have read threads on this forum where some have mildly complained about Massivore's odor, so that's why I was wondering.
Make sure the bags closed after your done. I know they stink but ive never smelled it unless i accidently left the bag open.
