I just bought a pack of clown loaches like 3 days ago. They are pretty big like 3.5-4" and they found a cave in my driftwood and i rarely ever see them. I don't think they have eaten ever since either.

Should i be worried?

they very often hide. but will come out when they know its feeding time once they get settled in.

Do you have pics of your setup? Your tank should be loaded with plenty of driftwoods, pipes and slates for them to feel more secured thus enabling them to appear even during the day. How many are there exactly? I have eight of them parading in front of the tank all day begging for food.

What do you guys recommend feeding them? I know they love bloodworms.

Should i give em live or frozen??

Also..if i give them live bloodworms and they burrow into the gravel will the loaches still be able to get em?

Your tank has plenty of fish that are intimidating, not to mention your setup needs more hiding places. If I were you, get them a tank of their own and place plenty of woods and rocks there along with some plants that can be tied on woods.

Foods will not matter. They will take anything. Any live food that attempts to burrow will not last for long as loaches, with the aid of their barbels, can eventually catch them.;)

yeah.. i really want to get rid of those parrots but my parents consider them to "bring us luck" so they won't budge. I noticed they started to hide when i moved that big orino in there..

Is there a chance of them settling in with the big fish and be active or no chance at all?

There is but it will require your patience. It will take a long time to persuade the loaches to show up. They generally don't show up a lot where plenty of big fish are present. Explain to your parents why you cannot keep the blood parrots there. The tank itself is overcrowding with the peacock basses around. Is there a reason why you have 4 peacocks? If at all possible, persuade them to buy you another tank for the parrots if they refuse to move those over.

The only fish I find suitable with loaches in your tank is the flagtail.

P.S. To be honest, I don't believe in those so-called lucky charms. It's all a marketing ploy if you ask me to persuade some people to buy these fish for a quick buck.

exactly they are highly supersticious, I am in the process of buying a 210 for the pbass but i havent consulted them yet.

Would it be best for the loaches if i just sold them? i really wanted them with the pbass but i know the bass will outgrow them and eventually eat them.
