Is it ok, if you feed your fish insects??

Today, I caught a few insect's worm,a small spider,and a grass hopper. I was wondering if I could feed to my cichlids??

My apologies for being anal but worms aren't insects.

But worms make great treats too. Just like Lupin said, make sure they aren't infected with pesticides.

I have fed crickets, june bugs and the occassional moth and fly to my fish and have never seen any sign of a problem. Insects are an important part of the diet of most fish that we keep in aquaria.
