Is it OK to feed snaping turtle steak?

i'm pretty sure turtles can't properly digest meats from non-aquatic animals.

Snappers eat muskrats, ducklings, and mice. Id say steak is ok occasionally.

People feed the mice on YouTube. Snapping turtles are like little tanks, I don't see why it would hurt him unless it was cooked with spices on it.

They can easily digest "meat from non aquatic animals" But it should be limited because it isn't something they get too often.

Steak is a fattier than their normal fare and should probably used sparingly. They will eat carrion in the wild, and that could be just about any protien.

Your turtle will be fine mine is the clean up crew in my house LOL. Im starting to think some people on here are stuck on repeat a snapper cant eat meat thats one of the funniest things ive read on this board LMFAO. Next they are gonna tell u to starve him untill he eat NLS pellets.

I am also too afraid to give Jingle (Bichon-Poo) week old steak, but luckily I also have woods on my property and plenty of Fox and Racoons that will love me.

I think I will try on small slice for the Snappers but do so with one of those 2 ft. gripper thingys. I get nervous about how "friendly" the big snapper is when I go down and throw hand fulls of floating pellets into the pond for the Green Sunfish and golden shinner minnows.

It comes right up to me to eat pellets, but I am chicken to attempt hand feeding it.

Snappers are surprisingly controlled with their weapons. They look like crazy loose cannons, but I feed wild Snappers from my hands all the time.
