you try them in the pond yet? is the Ark a large lfs? do they have alot of exotics? we dont have much up here for anything dealing with large or exotic fish. sorry im done with this version of 20 questions.

Have not tried them in the pond. I did however throw them in a bigger tank with what I was HOPING would be a new tankmate. My Fahaka has lived with Dats for a few years. Seems to tolerate them, so I thought maybe, JUST MAYBE he wouldn't mind a pair of knives......WRONG-O buddy. 20 minutes and 2 tattered knives later the divider is in. I really thought the puffer would be the one in danger outnumbered and 1/2 the size..... So plan A FAILED. Don't really know if I am going to try them in the pond... I have a pair of foot long Odoes in there and my prized Rhaphiodon...... Just don't know IF I trust them...... Plus the Armatus will be going in there after they outgrow thier tank, and IF I was to loose ANY of my payara to a CK I don't know what I'de do. So be on stand-by..... They may have to go soon. What acomodations do YOU have for them? Hopefully NO 62 degree water...... The ARK.... YES a LFS in Ames that does deal in some rarer fish......don't know if I'de go so far as to say exotic..... Aros, RTC things of that nature. Find a few jems there every now and then.

the 62degrees was a fluke. i tried to pull them out when it got down to 70 but i drained the pond down to no more than 5-10 gallons and i never saw him. i think it was hiding in one of my potted plants that i pulled out. they would go with my oscars and pacu in my 500 gallon indoor pond for the winter and then go outside for the summer. they are a little bigger than 5" and would be a little harder to miss come fall and i have to take them out to bring them inside. the section of the pond they would be in is a little over 1200 gallons. and next summer when i take everything out of the indoor ghetto pond and put them all outside im going to build a 2x4 framed 1300 gallon indoor pond.

current home for pacu and oscars. (where the knives would go for now)
