I want my freezedried blooworms(floating) to sink, but is it possible?

I have the same problem with krill and I just put it under a peice of slate and my bichir loves it or I hand feed her.

you can get FD bloodworms to sink... get a cup, fill it with hot water (not too hot as to burn) and stir in bloodworms, frozen foods, medications, or whatever else needs to be mixed in. I mix in frozen brine and freezedried bloodworms, stir for a minute or 2 and feed to my mothers live bearer fish, they love it

hey what's a slate?

ok i'll try it!
do you think shaking it will be quicker? or can i damage the food that way?

I dunno if shaking will be any quicker, When i mix the bloodworms and brine i dump the cup in when the frozen block has completely melted. I dont see how shaking can damage anything, jus mixes it up better

What's a slate? Are you serious? Slate is a type of rock that fractures into sheets and thus is practical for landscaping tanks.

Shaking the food? It's already dead- how can you damage it? Your fish will end up masticating it anyway.

Easiest way to get freeze dried items to sink is to waterlog it in an external container then drop in.

Freeze dried food will sink as soon as it becomes waterlogged. I would go with frozen instead.

i want the freezedried bloodworms to sink but they just won't..

i stirred it, left it, put it under the whisper's water output..nothing..

Hmm... I've never had any problems getting it to sink. I'm sure with time you will find a way that works well for you.

The Titanic sank so anything can...LOL

Soak the freeze dryed food for 20 minutes or so before feeding and it'll go right to the bottom...
