Is it rare?

Ummmm....I am gonna try to get a decent pic, but no promises. I normally use my bro's 400$ digital camera, but he is being a loser because I am "useing it too much." Well, anyways, it looks alot like the one in the second pic. Is it rare?? How much is it worth at about 2-3"? They said they will sell it to me for 3.00. Is this a good deal??

nothing can be rare and $3.00 at the same time sorry. Maybe if it was $300.00.
Im guessing it is a neolamprologus sexfasciatus. Very common, even Australia has them lol

Don't be so sure about that. Sometimes LFS get fish in from customers, that they have no idea on the species...so they'll mark them at a cheap price for lack of knowledge. I managed to pick up 3 Cynotilapia sp. 'Lion's Cove' - a very rare mbuna - at my LFS for $10 a piece. He had no idea what they were, probably assumed they were hybrids. When I told him what they were, I checked the price the next time I was in, and now he wants $20 each.

They didn't know what it was. I know some peeps on here got some NICE deals because they didn't know what the heck they were. Anyway, how big do they get??

$3.00 and you like it. forget good or bad, its more or less just a buy.
