Ornates are the jerks of the poly world, often happens and unless the damage gets worse then a chunk of tail missing, it will probably settle after it claims it's cave.

They were separated with a divider till now.
But,I might worry if I found my delh lying dead on the tank floor the next thing I woke up.
Or do I give it a try for one night?

I doubt it would kill the del since they are about the same size, but no guarantees with fish.

Ignore the upper half of the tail,it was severely wounded by the feeder shrimps

Yes, it's making its territory. Not all have such behavior, but, depends on individuals. Put in more than 4 bichirs in a tank can minimize the territorial behavior.

I think it will be overstocked since this is only a 10 gallon tank.
I have 2 upper and 1 lower-jaw in there.
Luckily,my delh survived the night!
He's now fine with the ornate I guess cause till now when the ornate approaches the delh,he didn't even take a single nip on his tail!
So,I guess this is going fine?
