i started my tank off with 5 baby red bellies, and over the past 5 months ive watched them grow and develop as a school. 3 months ago the littlest one got eaten when i went out of town (and my roommates didn't feed them). this leaves me with 4 3inch red bellies in a 20 gallon tank. i know i need a bigger tank, but i was wondering if i could wait another month. i move to a new house in columbus ohio soon and wanted to just find a tank down their. what do you guys think?

It's not best to have them in a 20 at all but I understand why they are there. I would say if you put in some caves so they can get away from each other then they should be fine for another month. What size tank are you going to setup?

A 75 gallon tank, i had always planed to do this when they got older. i also plan to aquascape the new tank with a lot of plant life. should i just add some gravel and plan life to this tank to take stress off the fish?

as long as it's just temporary, they might be fine... obviously it would be best to get them into a larger tank right now, but if you keep a close eye on them, things could work out. keeping them well fed might help, but you are going to be dealing with aggression over territory due to the cramped tank conditions, not because they are hungry. lowering the temp a bit may help as well as adding lots of cover for them, other than that, just hope for the best until you can get them into a larger tank.

your using bottles for your aquascape? lol thats like that redneck backyard thing on comedy central, but its the redneck fish tank mwhahaha
