Is it too early?

I left two orino's and one ocell in the 100gal when I put the kel in with them and the kel seemed a lot more peaceful with other cichla but still did not eat. Yesterday I broke down and gave the kel a rosy red and I guess that did the trick because when I fed them a little while ago the kel was going crazy for the pellets to the point to where the other fish were scared to come to the top to eat!!!

Now I am hoping that he doesn't become a bully lol

Also, does a kel grow as fast as an ocell, or as sllllooooowwwwwww as an orino?

good job getting your kel to eat, was it eating pellets before when QT'd?

He was sold to me as a fish that was pellet trained but I started to doubt that he was pellet trained because the whole time he was QT'd he did not eat at all.
I just needed to give him more time to settle in.

Now I need to fatten him back up. I just hope he starts to show more color soon, to be honest he is ugly lol
