That I could find someone with a fish of this caliber over 5" long and willing to sell?

What do you guys think? Can it be done? Are their people out their that have these fish over 5" long and willing to sell? Can these fish be shipped at 5" + and survive the commute?

I say anything is possible.. so I don't think it's too much to think it can be done.

Heck, it probably already has been done.

Electric blue JD are awesome, but that last pic looks photo shopped. But keep your eyes open and check out a lot of forms, ebay, craigslist, and selling post. You never know what might happen and some one has to sell what they have.

**any jack can look like that given the right situation. (im talking about the 1st picture, but those obviously have some blue genes).

Its all about how you take care of them bro. And what they're trying to look good for. Cammoflauge you get mostly solids. You only get one to be showy like that when he's trying to be dominant and isn't sure of himself

but I mean the second pictures are pretty much standard electric blues right?
Thats how they look to me, like all the others i've seen. The only thing that makes them special is that they're adults. (although in the third picture some of them are deformed)

Get babies and keep the water really clean. You can get fast growth with daily water changes and the like

I don't have a grow out tank available. End result I want one of these guys in with my Oscars. I'm told they can hold their own with an Oscar of equal or lesser size. Hence the reason I need one grown out a bit.

Been their, done that. AllQuatics is my LFS. Literally 1 mile from my house. Nothing I want, and no chance on them ordering it. They are great for other types of purchases though. I don't go to the Precious Pets in Ewing very often. I've been greatly dissapointed. Ill informed. Dead fish always floating.

I've tried The Hidden Reef, and The Fish Factory. No luck yet.

Pets Plus on the circle in Lawrenceville had a girl working the fish room that flat out told me she didn't know anything about fish. They just told her how to bag a fish and told her to give people whatever they ask for. I asked her if that was her whole job description and she said. Oh no, "I have to take the dead ones out as soon as I see them."

Then I seen another guy drop 5-10 Feeder Goldfish into a cichlid tank that had a couple of Oscars and other fish that all had HITH. (Wonder Why).
