Is it worth it? 210 gallon CRACKED SIDE on craigslist

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just went to try and tear down a 320 gallonish tank, but there were no spacers between the panels, which made it impossible to take apart without cracking the panels. (at least at my experience level which seems to be the same as yours lol) We tried for four hours to take it apart gently and slowly and still the panels cracked. Might be something to consider if you have to tear it down to replace the panel.

Panels weren't at all useable after we got it apart. Keep your eye out for a 230 gallon. They are a standard size and you could probably find one for fairly cheap.

Yeah I saw your post about it Davis. That's a bummer. I'm definitely not paying his asking price as this will be a learning experience. And if it goes sour I'm hoping I'll be out $50 at most(hopefully but probably not). I won't even buy the panel or silicone if I can't get it pulled apart successfully.... Obviously lol. You hit the nail on the head with my skill level on this one Davis. Lol. Better luck next time.

Thanks. I bought an acrylic tank with a glass sump and set the sump down a tad bit hard on the concrete and cracked the one panel..... Glass has not been my friend lately lol. Guess I get to try my skills of tearing down a tank once again haha at least it's on a smaller scale this time. Good luck with the tank!
