I never said you cant enjoy it, and try reading through those comments. im against feeders purely for entertainment.

So if you feel bad about it and or don't watch it at all, it's ok? As long as you're not entertained?
I think we are splitting hairs here.....

I have and found the hunt and kill quite entertaining. matter of fact the whole family did. I do not any more as at that time I did not know that the feeder fish I was feeding where not good for my fish. only reason I stopped. Was a fun treat for him couple times a week.

I think it cruel if done in a cruel manner, large fish slowly taken apart bad, live mouse shredded bad. Quarantined feeders thrown in a tank and taken out fairly quickly ok. As for the entertainment aspect for me that's just a byproduct. Watching my jag stock something is a awesome show but he's also getting fed.

What predators do you have experience with? Since you speak of instinct and aggression.

I have heard of memebers experiences on here, and lower down the food chain I have found bettas that ate their cardinal tetra tankmates ended up killing everything else.

have you ever even fed a feeder to a fish?
Yes I have fed and bred tetras(not bred) and guppies to bettas, which [the bettas] ended up killing all the other tankmates, even if they couldn't eat them. I do sometimes feed insects to my fish, but if they are not eaten in 15 seconds I take them out of the tank and release them.

15 seconds? i am lucky if i still have my finger tips when feeding insects.
