Maybe a male Beta or some Guppies. Just an idea. :)

As far as being a good or bad influence for your wallet, I feel it works both ways.

HORRIBLE! Last week Ive gotten 2x Epaulette Sharks ($315 each), Blue Faced Grouper ($180), Polleni Grouper ($170) and 4x Yellow Goatfish ($40 each)

I think MFK simply cultivates expensive tastes, lol

Guppies or Beta No way. I was thinking either a planted or reef.

If we are talking about the 6gallon - I am pretty excited about shell dwellers, you may be able to do 2, maybe 3 with the footprint.
They are very interesting.

I will support you on the nano reef though :)

that would look really nice if you took the trim off it and made it rimless.

MFK has turned me into a monster. Ever since i have found this site after some research i built me a 400 gallon tank 75 gallon sump and now finishing the basement so i can enjoy the fishes so cost it still on going. Plus as my fish keep growing the keep eating more. Plus the cost of electricity has gone up because of bigger pumps and more lights :). All in all its worth it for me.
