Any chance you could post a picture of the fish after it has colored up a bit? Also, a picture of the tail might help.

Actually Adam, it will get up to 24" + given the right conditions. Its just noone has really tried or documented gettin theirs that large. In the wild though they have been caught at 22"...

I am gonna go try and get some better pics of him now he is in the big pond, the midas and him had a little problem at first little jaw locking butthey got over it and now there is no problems... he looks awesome though when the midas does get cloes to him his fins spike up and are lined in black plus a huge black stripe runs down the lenght of his body it looks nice

Oh yeah. Pikes change colors like crazy. They could be colorless one second and pitch black the next. I love em'.
