Is molting or just a Breeding Color?

Here it is now, almost 2 days in my tank.. sorry for the pics, these are the only better i got.. she's very dark if i wont used the camera flash. hope it help.. thanks

Nice your FH looks just like mine , who I suspect is a female too- same colour, patterns and pearling. Just a tip if you want here to colour up more, put her over red or turquoise gravel. My fish was black until I moved her to a tank with this colour, now (she?)'s getting designs on her back similar to a tan king.

Sometimes it happens like that, but sometimes doesn't happen like that either. I'd say give it a week or 2, if it doesn't change at all. It can be peeling or maybe need to change gravels color. If not, then it is from something else...we'll see how it goes.

mmmnn i think its not because of the substrate and banckground. At LFS there's no substrate and background then my tank where she was now has also a ZzMalau live in it since may 28 til now and its not going into black color.

Okey, in two weeks from now, i will post an update.
