Hi,
so i bought a 1.5 gallon for $50 with a filter as well as a built in light at petsmart
Then I bought one midas cichlid, one oscar cichlid, and 3 tinfoil barbs then went to a different pet store and bought a flowerhorn. So I threw them in there when I got home and of course I used all of the water conditioner and what not and salt water..
Anyways they seem to be a bit crowded so I am wndering will they live they do not swim around too much
thanks
i have a whisper filter that is big enough for my tank and I do daily waterchanges

Yes, yes, this is way too small! Cichlids are not tiny fish... they're going to get a lot bigger. Or they would, with a larger tank. A good rule of thumb is at least 10 gallons per fish, because, even though they might not look it, they're going to get bigger. There's hardly room for them to turn around in. The only thing a 1.5 gal is good for is a betta. That's about it. You can usually find a good sized tank on craigslist if you're on the cheap...

.... uhm...
NO! Way too small.

How much water conditioner/salt did you use???
If they were full bottles/containers.. you should not have to use all of it...

Did you come home & just start the tank up?
Or did you cycle it??

HAHAHA. Well as long as you have a filter that can handle that massive tank...you'll be fine. +5
