How do you feel about nano fish? You could have hundreds of nano fish and get to see some pretty interesting things.
The thing is I don't know if I can refund all the fish and thats 30£ wasted on food so.... everything will be decided this weekend when I go to my lfs.

Ahh if you’re on a budget then a large tank for nano fish is gonna cost a lot. You need a lot of Nano fish to make a tank look full and nano fish can run from about $1 to $5 a piece for me. If you want to get rare nano fish then make it even more. Let’s say I get 200 nano fish at $1 each, that’s already $200 on fish alone. If it’s more then it’s gonna cost a lot more.

In nature salvini get about 15 centimeters (6 inches) although they sometimes get larger in aquariums.
3 may work in your tank, with no other fish, except maybe some dithers (no other cichlids), but size is not usually the issue. They can be extremely territorial, and aggressive in small spaces, and even though they are shy now as youngsters, at maturity, or breeding age is when the carnage starts.
If you have a male and two females it may help, or 3 females.
Males usually kill any females that don't immediately want to spawn at maturity.
Be ready with another tank to separate them, as they grow.

HRP would be great for this tank. Never really had much issues w/ them destroying plants either. I would do a pair w/ some livebarers in that tank. The tank looks good btw.

Wow that is a pretty fish. Unfortunately I don't know what HRP is lol. But yeah could be

My mum told me that if the fish ard ok for 6 months to a year then we don't need to worry about them now. Mom's are moms.

I told her we could sell the fish on eBay but they would have to be the same price or more when we bought it. I think this would be a good idea.

I am going to start a new thread on what to stock my tank with with if I manage to get the cichlids out.
