today i come home and my aro is swimming different
he is a 3 1/2- 4" silver

up until now, he "spine" is straight back from his head to tail, and constantly swimming
today is like he has a slouch. his head and tail are both lower than his back, so hes kind of forming an arch with his body
im not 100% sure, but it seems as though he may be swimming slower today? and he also stops occasionally.
i havent had him much over a month, but i dont think i have ever saw him come to a stop??

is this normal?
sorry i cant get pics, my gf is on vacation and i dont have a camera :(

also, it appears as though he may have had a growth spurt ... he's a little longer today than yesterday (which sounds crazy, but i look at him constantly and today he looks bigger)

and his "hump" or top of his back is right at surface level. usually he swims with his whole body about 1/4" below

what are your water parameters? My aro does this when he is stressed. Also, even though they are fast growers, you won't notice a difference in 24 hours. They aren't that fast lol

everything is flawless. the tank he is in is my most consistant tank, but i just ran a water test

ph - 7.2-7.4
nitrate - 0-.5
nitrites - 0-.5
ammonia - 0-1
temp is at 80 as always

the only thing different about the tank is i added a irwini the other day, but he doesnt do anything, just sits at the bottom. my aro probably doesnt know he is there???

any suggestions ??

tankmates?

like i added, he has the irwini now, but he doesnt bother him (that ive seen)
his fins are fine all around

and then i have maybe 6-10 comets swimming around just to add some color to the tank... but they have been there for his entire life, with no problems

any major water changes recently? Do you treat your water before adding it to the tank?

what is the water temperature?

no water changes in the last week. yeah i dechlor my water first, and add a shot of bacteria when i do my water changes

temp is at 80, same as usual
