shoot man. The row house across the street from my place in Adams-Morgan (DC) was 3.5 million and I imagine that it's smaller than both of your houses. I was renting ofcourse. Even if I had a million in cash in the banks, I wouldn't be able to sign a mortgage for 2.5 million dollars, I think my balls would retract into my abdomen if I tied to sign the contact and let me assure you, I don't have half a million in the bank.

yeah it's ridiculous man. One bedroom condos inside the beltway in MD, VA, or DC start at around $750k. Back home in bama you can by a mansion on a good sized lot for around $350k.
