is my endli's growth rate good?

 • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
post it again here. haha
btw, one question, my endli at night is always like swim fast on the glass and like it's chasing somthing. i dont know what is with him. he does tht every night. i think tht he might be hungry but maybe sumthing else. what do u think?

mine do that now and again especially after a water change. My assumption is the fish is looking for a new home because the temp in the water just changed and decor was just rearranged. Usually when they do that they seem to be attracted to the return from my pump and they probably think they are swimming upriver.

mine does tht every time after i feed him. so, u just let him be like tht? what did u do?

i dont think its an issue. they dont do this all the time, but of all the bichirs i have its the endlis that do it most. they swim back and forth along the tank wall and then try to swim into the filter return and then go back along the tank wall again. they do it at most once a week or so. i am not sure if we are describing the same thing but mine have been doing it for the 2 years or so that i have had them.

here is a vid of mine doing it:

yup, same thing on my endli. but he does tht every night. lol. like he's about to jump off. but when i throw a worm inside he will stop and go for the worm. haha

yeah, tht i know. but i assumed tht he's trying to get away. lol he swim towards the glass like a maniac. xD

Mine do this too. Its awesome when you have 6-8 polys doing it at once. I was once told it was because the tank is too small, but after my 8" sen didnt stop doing it in my 180 I called BS on that.

+1 This is when its most common with me as well. However, mine always go to the opposite side of the return pump.

what type of bichirs are doing it for you? its 99% the endlis doing it in my tank. I had a del that would join the fun sometimes and every once in a while an ornate will jump in. I have two laps in the tank now but i have yet to see them do it. The laps are also the smallest fish in the tank so they may just not feel confident to get away from cover.
