everytime I feed my flowerhorn, it always spits out his food, and ive seen the food on the bottom untouched,pellets..
but he has a big tummy so I was wondering could it be eating gravel?? last time I saw it trying to bite the big rock in my tank, it bites it and attacks it for no reason is this normal?

As for biting/attacking the rock that's a typical big cichlid trying to rearrange the tank if you don't want him doing that then try placing the rock in other places till he leaves it alone

Some fish like to sift gravel and sput it back out. When you notice yiur fish doing this i would remove the gravel if its large enough to impact his digestive track. My big jack dempsey does this. I switched to finer gravel. He poops a peice up from time to time. If these were larger gravel. He would easily be dead by now.

ok so it was actually building like a sand fort next to that rock on the corner of the tank, so itll swim grab gravel swim around and then drop it next to the rock??? but I still haven't seen him eat??

No matter what way you look at it. This is a good sign. Sick or not that is normal behaviour. If your FH has the need to move the decor or gravel around she cant be that sick. Get some pics up ASAP so we can see if theres reason for concern
