is my gold wolf being eaten alive

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks good to me...maybe a little spot on the gill plate? Looks kinda red. Might not be an issue as I've never kept them.
My gold also have that red on both gills. From what i've observe (water parameter) and i've read, it's natural. About the scales, its not missing as far as i know from my gold, it's more bright color like white-ish on that part. My gold also have that. And so far, my gold healthy and keep growing, faster than my red wolf. I keep change the water about 5% every 3 days in the first 2 months.
red on gill means it’s a male.. check my YouTube on my wolves, my Gold doesn’t have that red spot because it’s a female

i read it on a brazilian fishing journal. Where they had pics of both sex. I believe they refer to them as trairinha, jejum, traits branca.. now if u wanna ask how I tested it.. I bought 1 red and 2 golds that look different.one with the spot and one with none. The gold took out the reds tail but the other gold just kept to herself.. i took that aggressive gold out and both the red and gold were peaceful. So i assume its red male and gold female. Then I bought 2 black wolves and added them .. the red and one black chased and fin nipped.so I assume one of the blacks was male. The other black was peaceful and bulkier so I assume it was a female.. now I have a red male, gold female and black female in the same tank with no fin heavy aggression, the red will sometimes chase the gold but stopped at that, the black just chills and gets active during feeding. The video above doesn’t show the red in his cave, sometimes they all swim around. Always wanted a wolf cohab so as u can see I kinda invested too much money just to get a group that works.
