googled "small jack dempsey cichlid". yours is in fact a jack. you can try it for yourself!
festaes have stripes. once again, it'll take more time for the possible green terror.
theyre kind of ugly, with just the basic "fish look" with some darker stripes.Dominator;3219211; said:oh yeah, kinda tricky, i saw one like that in the same tank but i didn't get it cuz i knew it was jd, juvenile JD has spots near its first stripe/eye. But yeah, almost the same in pattern and color, i have never seen baby red terrors before.
My red terror is spotless.

Red terror juveniles are ugly, adult males much more are uglier, JD babies are prettier, but full grown jd are ugly too.

Could u post a pic of ur red terror at this size?crisper;3220660; said:First fish is gt. Second not to sure I don't think it's a festae it does'nt look like mine. Maybe jd like jory says.
x2 to that these two fishes cannot be kept together, my green terror was floating since the first day i had him. When two fishes are fed, green terror is always swimming, and red terror always lay on the substrate and looks like hibernating. It is not shy at all, when i approach the tank, 1in red terror bumps the tank. That is a red terror..And the GT is a GT...I would not house the two together for life.
give me a few weeks, i wanna bet with u lol.straitjacketstar;3234133; said:The first is a GT.
The second is not a festae. It's not even a Uro. It is without a doubt a JD.
