I think its just their nature to eat anything floating in the tank. Surely if it tasted bad he'd cough it up. Like someone else said, feed him first then the pleco after.
Thanks for the info guys! My Jar could be full from crickets, crawfish, feederfish whatevers, and no matter how full he is he will not let those darn algae wafers reach the bottom! Actually, he looks a lot more greener now!-hehe
